JULY 2008
PAWAG is collecting money and canned goods from members and friends to help one Filipina who is abused by her husband. She has a seven year old son and she is two months pregnant.  We will be meeting her on the 23rd of July to give her all donations we collected. 
JULY 12 - Supported the "Binggohan for Seniors" sponsored by Filipino-American Association of Greater Atlanta held at the Holy Spirit Harvest Centers in Lilburn.  Also, Mr. Willy Blanco and Officers of Fil-Am are helping us by collecting donations during the Binggohan for Seniors.

July 19- DTV Transition Community Outreach- CPACS invited us to join the project with other Asian Organization.  
July 26 - PAWAG members meeting - It was a success. We had about 20 members showed up. Lunch was served before the meeting and it was really great. Topics were discussed accordingly. Members participated by giving ideas,opinions and volunteered for pawag's activities.  PAWAG's next meeting is on September 20, @12:00 noon.
July 29 - PAWAG had a meeting with another women shelter in Marietta.  PAWAG will donate flash drives to the women in the shelter for them to use.
Those who wants to donate a flash drive, you are welcome.
AUGUST:
August 1 - PAWAG Officers had a meeting at the Bahama Breeze.  Drinks and food were provided by the management. Thank you.
August 13 - Meeting with the Coordinator at the CFVC.
August 16 - PAWAG attended the House Blessing of PACG -Philippine American Center of Georgia  and celebration. It was attended by our Honorary Consul General Ray Donato.
August 29- Received a clothing donation from Ms. Sandy, an ex IBM employee who was reffered to me by my husband's collegue.
August 31 - PAWAG attended the "Sine at Salu Salu" sponsored by Galing foundation. 
SEPTEMBER:
September 6- PAWAG was one of the vendors during fund raising at Duluth Center sponsored by MAG- Malaysian Association of Georgia.  Thanks to all members and officers who came to help setting up the tent and  selling kakanin. The event was a success.
September 13 -PAWAG attended another fund raising, a Family Fall Festival at John's Creek.  Thanks to Onli and Gemela who helped me the whole day at the event.   
September 23- Workshop fo
r women at the CFVC shelter with the collaboration of 9 to 5 Working Women organization. Topics to be discussed are health care, child care, balancing work/ Family and Know your rights in the work place. The other one is about financial Stability. thanks to Roxanna who came to help.  
OCTOBER -
October 1, 2008 @11:00 am
DTV Transition at Smyrna, Senior Facility Center- PAWAG held a DTV Transition to informed Seniors regarding Analog TV and distributed forms to fill out to get a $40.00 coupon from the government   
October 11 @10:00 am - Attend TEA WALK "Empowering Asian Women" a two mile walk sponsored by CPACS. Thanks to all the ladies who came and show their support. We had so much fun. 
Also attended the Fil-Am Election/ Family Picnic.
October 18- Another DTV Transition at the women Shelter starts @10:00 am.
Ocotober 25 -PAWAG choir will have their caroling practice
October 26 - PAWAG will attend the Gawad Kalinga event. 
-We accept donations everyday. Our July goal is to donate food to the homeless. If you wish to send in your donation like; food or monetary donation, (issued to PAWAG) kindly send it to our address.
-Angel Food Ministries is one of our sources to provide better quantity of food to the shelter. The rest will be donations or contribution of the officers and members and solicitations.  
PAWAG'S MEETING IS ALWAYS EVERY OTHER MONTH AND IS ON THE 3RD SATURDAY.
